I have a stack of half-finished blog posts I keep meaning to finish (no, really, I do!), but I think this one deserves priority because of the “wow” factor. =)
What is Sprout? It’s essentially an online WYSIWYG editor for flash that allows anyone to quickly create flash widgets (or as they call them, “sprouts”). Currently [...]

It’s day 4 without cable, and honestly, without even turning my TV on once.
Before I dig into Netflix — which is really not a replacement for TV like everything else, but still an avenue I wanted to explore (afterall, they do have The Office and Sleeper Cell available for streaming, though they’re on DVD now) [...]

Something interesting I hadn’t realized before starting this experiment: getting rid of TV means altering my daily habits. It’s so ingrained in me to come home, turn on my computer, and turn on the TV (as background noise).
I guess, technically I could still do that, but instead put on a DVD. I feel like watching [...]

I’m fed up. Fed up with the cable companies and with the fact that I only watch 5 channels but have to pay for 70. I’ve been talking about canceling my cable TV for awhile — today, I finally did it.
Of course, Time Warner didn’t make it easy (it took half an hour on the [...]

Here are a few photos I took while at CES (I would have taken more, but was too busy asking questions and geeking out)…
Great display… just a bunch of laptops, but doesn’t it look cool?
Who doesn’t love Sling Media…if only they had t-shirts.

From time to time I’ll come across some new piece of technology or software that gets me really excited. Anything that can invoke that kind of passion… well there has to be something to it, right?
This week it’s an email add-on called Xobni (yes, that’s inbox spelled backwards). Xobni was one of the TechCrunch40 in [...]

Rather than give my list of Top 10 Start-ups to Watch in 2008, I’ve been thinking about the importance of “going green” and technological innovation. It’s already 2008 — but what about 2018? 2028? My post on Black Friday’s post-Thanksgiving sales mentioned e-waste and our obsession with having the latest gadgets. How are we going [...]

Wrapping up my two days at CES and finally have a chance for a quick moblog (thanks to imified and gtalk for blackberry!)… The big two highlights for me were Texas Instruments DualView which allows two different videos to share the same screen (using special glasses so that only one view is visible at a [...]

After trying to hack around the built in blog-via-email that refuses to work, I decided to take a slightly different approach. I can Twitter via Gtalk (especially useful since T-Mobile has blocked Twitter)… why can’t I do other things that way too?
Enter IMified - “instant productivity”. A totally free service (for now), they let you [...]

Edit: Unfortunately there are still some bugs to be worked out. I’m off to CES on Monday, but hopefully I can work out the mobile blogging issues before then.
If anyone knows of a great off the shelf solution for mobile blogging (I have a blackberry, so from the browser, via email, or through a blackberry [...]
